Synopsis

The Hollywood starlet falls for her bodyguard. Cliche, Right?

Nothing could prepare me for her. I’m ready to deal with a difficult, spoiled Hollywood Starlet when she walks into my life and turns it upside down. Molly Kinley is curvy, sweetness and light. She’s also my mate.

Too bad a silly misunderstanding sends her running from me. I’m shocked to realized the well-connected actress pulled one heck of a disappearing act. After weeks of looking, I admit to myself she’s gone for good. Convincing my head-over-heels in love wolf to back off is one of the hardest things I ever do.

Just when my heart begins to heal, the woman who almost destroyed me walks back into my life. With our twins.

Once the shock wears off, I pull myself together. It might have taken me ten years, but I finally have my head on straight. And I’ll do whatever it takes to win my curvy mate.

Watch out little Glitter Girl! Your hungry wolf is on the prowl, and I won’t let you slip through my fingers a second time.

Chapter One Look Inside

I hear the front door open and slam shut before my brother’s voice echoes through the living room. “Honey, I’m home.”
“Thanks for the warning.” I grab my coffee mug and head out to deal with my identical twin.
He rolls his eyes before dropping his overnight bag next to the breakfast bar. Marcus steps into the kitchen and makes a beeline for my coffee maker. After sitting at my table, he takes a few sips of the hot liquid. “I’m almost ready for you to hit me with the bad news.” He inhales half the mug and sits back to hear me out. When shit hit the fan yesterday, I sent him an urgent text to get his furry ass to Celestial Falls. As CEO of Blackwolf Security, I deal with all the crap before it flows downhill to my twin.
Our family has been in the security business for several generations. When Dad retired ten years ago, he put us in charge of the company. The situation imploded immediately. Having two hot-headed wolves attempting to function as equals is a recipe for disaster. After a couple of tension-filled months, we decided to reorganize. Marcus left to open and run a new office in California and I stayed in Celestial Falls. I’m CEO of the entire corporation, which works well with my brother. He prefers woodworking to attending meetings.
“Rafe fucking quit without notice,” I tell him the bad news. Our long-time lion shifter employee took a protection job in France and lost his fucking mind. He met, fell in love, and mated some ritzy clothing designer all in one weekend. With our company’s services booked out for months, losing one of our busiest operatives is devastating.
“Do you have any thoughts on fixing this?” My brother rubs the back of his neck.
“Can you stay in town for a few weeks and train Rafe’s replacement?” He’s the best at turning these assholes into effective operatives. “I’ll head to France to take over the Molly Kinley assignment.” My back teeth snap together at the thought of babysitting some spoiled little Hollywood princess, but I’m the best option for the job.
I’m accustomed to dealing with celebrities while my anti-social asshole brother turns the hard-headed newbies into top-notch operatives. We normally fly new field agents to California to train with Marcus, and the Celestial Falls office handles the administrative side. Since there’s no way the large branch can run smoothly without one of us to oversee everything, my twin will have to get over himself and take my place here in Celestial Falls.
“I can stay for a month,” Marcus concedes. “After that, you’re on your own.”
I make a show of grumbling under my breath, but I’m happy with his offer.
Out of the blue, a strange sensation cuts through me. My wolf stretches under my skin and demands I act. “I suddenly have a craving for something sweet.” My brother raises an eyebrow and smirks at me, but I ignore the fucker. “Let’s go into town and get donuts at The Cupcake Fairy.” That wipes the smug look off Marcus’ face. I’m fucking shocked myself. I don’t remember the last time I ate sugar.
“The Cupcake Fairy?” He blinks.
“I’ll tell you all about it on the way.” I grab my keys and head for the garage. “Come on. I’ll drive.”
